just do a spring over, get some 31`s, a weber carb, and fix the fenders with some sheet metal and you are good to go. with the carb you wont notice the bigger tires as much, but 5th gear on the highway will still be a bit tall. Oh, and if you dont re-gear, then you may want to consider a centerforce clutch.....at least if you take it off road.

i think a samurai could keep up with a defender.... i just bought another one so watch out, lol. oh yea mine said above gets like 26-28mpg.

i have an 86 sprung over with 31in mud tires under it, also the rear diff is locked and it can go places even jeeps with 38`s can only dream of. they are amazing off road and sip gas.

ive used all 12, that zip tie was just set there after a wash. these make any drop feel like a curb on any other fork.

i think its a thing of beauty, but i dont have that kinda cash to drop on a frame....but oh do i wish i could.
